  1. What is Startups'Lab?
    Startups' Lab is a facilitator. We promote and support new and emerging enterprises by helping them take strong roots to develop them into sucessful business ventures.
  2. How many internship positions are available?
    We are expecting to provide 100 internship positions for the year 2011-12.
  3. Is this a paid internship?
    No, the Internship Program at Startups' Lab does not entail any monetary stipends.
  4. What is the internship location?
    The interns will work on the various projects allotted to them from and in their current locations.

Project related FAQs

  1. What is the length of the internship period?
    We do not have a designated length of time for internship period. An intern could remain engaged with us for up to a year by taking appropriate number of projects.
  2. Do I get to choose the projects I would be working on?
    Yes, following the round of successful interview, a representative of ours will get in touch with you to provide you with the available options. You will be given a definite timeframe within which you will be required to finalise your choice of project.
  3. What is the typical length of each project?
    Each project shall last between one to three months.
  4. How many interns are going to be working on a single project?
    As few as one and as many as three interns could be allotted the same project.
  5. Is it possible to be working on more than one project?
    Yes, it is possible for the interns to be involved in more than project though, not simultaneously. The first project will need to be completed successfully before the intern can embark upon the second project.
  6. What kind of projects will I be working on?
    We hire student programmers to develop applications in various languages such as Java, PHP, CSharp, Flex, and on various platforms like Google AppEngine, Amazon Webservices, Oracle Weblogic, iPhone, iPad, Android phones, Blackberry, etc.
    Student graphics designers will be required to work on various assignments like Web designing, Logo designing, Pamphlet designing, Mobile Application design etc.
    Marketing trainees will provide marketing support services for various products we have on our portfolio.
    Public Relations trainees will undertake PR campaigns at leading social, business, and cultural events.

  1. How do I apply to the internship program?
    You can apply to the Startups' Lab internship program by filling up the online application form.
  2. How are interns selected?
    The applications received shall go through a round of initial screening. Shortlisted applicants will go through a further round of telephonic interview. Successful applicants shall be intimated of the results through email.
  3. What are the eligibility requirements for the internship program?
    Please ensure that the internship position you are applying to matches your qualifications or experience.
  4. When should I start my application process?
    You are requested to finish your application procedure at least a month before you are available to get engaged with Startups' Lab. We invite year round applications for our Internship Program.
  5. How long does the application procedure last?
    The application procedure can take up to a month. Under normal circumstances, the procedure does not last beyond a month. Every applicant will be intimated about the status of their application through email.
